How often does it happen that you buy a pair of headphones that say they’re noise cancelling but when you try them, they’re very disappointing? Well, with Golzer BANC-50 Headphones this won’t happen to you, as they follow through. Not just ANC, they also support Bluetooth, which is another much desired and valued characteristic. All in all, these are definitely undiscovered gems as they cost less than around $80. You might also want to check the BANC-70 model that offer some nice features but still this headphone don’t cross the $100 frontier.
Golzer BANC-50 Features
Noise cancelling feature performs a great job with Golzer BANC-50 headphones. These headphones are wireless with good Battery life, at 12 hours with both the BT and ANC on. The headphones are pretty comfortable and only get even softer some time of usage. The sound quality is above average that will make the average user pretty happy.
In the box you get some nice accessories: a zippered carrying case that can hold all the cables, adapters, and the headphones; they have a USB charging cable, the standard 3.5 mm plug, ¼” adapter, and a dual-plug adapter that’s very convenient in airplanes.
The best feature is the noise cancelling technology they offer with a rate of 85%. The noise cancelling button is perfect for air travelling, you get situational awareness in case there is an emergency, but the noisy people won’t bother you. If you keep it on you can expect 30 hours of continuous playtime, plus it makes them sound better, richer in details and louder. They don’t keep the noisy outside world out completely.

When it comes to comfort, Golzer BANC-50 doesn’t disappoint. They can’t be compared to high-end models but, they are definitely very comfy. The headband isn’t just adjustable, the padding is soft and covered in pleather; same with the earpads. However, some users might find that they are a bit small. Also, the clamping force is a little strong at first, but with time it loosens.
Golzer BANC-50 have a closed-back, over-the-ears design. One of the nice surprises with these are the swivelling earcups, with the horizontal rotation so you can lay them flat in their case, and vertical, so they can adjust to you head shape. The quality of the materials isn’t the best and they’re very light. When you see them and touch them, they don’t inspire confidence, but the durability isn’t bad, it’s just not premium. For their price, you can’t expect miracles, though.
They have 4.1 Bluetooth, one of the latest versions, making them compatible with any device that has Bluetooth. The connection range is around 30ft, depending on a number of obstacles. They also support the aptX codec to provide the best sound while using them wirelessly, if your device supports it too. They have a pretty good built-in microphone, it works well and most people won’t know you’re talking on a headset.
The controls work only in BT mode, are placed on the side of the earcups and once you memorize them they become easy to use. The battery life is 15 hours if you’re using Bluetooth only, but if you combine it with NC, its 12 hours, which is still pretty good. Charging them takes about 3 hours, but you can use them in wired mode if the battery dies.
The sound quality is pretty good, better than the $100 headphone, but as with everything else, it can’t compare with high-end headphones, so this are not for audiophiles. The bass is quite strong and it makes listening to music fun, but it’s still not for bassheads. Theses headphones are somewhere in the middle, for those that want good sound and wireless technology without having to pay too much.
If you’re not looking for excellence, but for a pair of headphones that are more than decent for a price that’s not too high, Golzer BANC-50 is definitely your best choice. Plus, the case and swivelling earcups make them easy to transport, and the splitter makes them idea for the two-port airplane jacks. Overall, Golzer BANC-50 headset has budget friendly price, which provides great value for money.
