ISOtunes is one of the few companies that have developed headphones that can be worn while in an extremely noisy work environment, the ISOtunes and the ISOtunes PRO. Both models have the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) certificate to prove that these headphones are a nice alternative to the earplugs; instead of absolute silence, you can work with your favorite songs as a background. The PRO model is better than the regular model, a topic we’ll be discussing shortly.
ISOtunes PRO Earbuds Features
The OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) certification means that the ISOtunes PRO are especially good for those that work in construction or industrial environments, but that’s not a limitation. These headphones are very versatile. Box contain lots of nice accessories (3 sizes of Comply foam ear tips and 1 triple flange silicone ear tips, cable clips, charging cable, and hard carrying case)
The cables will produce some wind noise, but this can be easily fixed with the cable clips that come in the box. A possible drawback for some users is that there’s a volume limit, the highest still healthy level of noise. But the noise isolation is pretty good, so you probably won’t need to listen to your music so loudly. They have a 27 dB ANSI certificate and are comparable to industrial earplugs. You’ll be completely isolated, which can be dangerous, so keep that in mind. They come with inline controls as well as a noise cancelling microphone that’s pretty good.

The Comply ear tips are one of these are very comfortable, the tips offer great comfort as well as a tight fit that won’t slide out of your ears. The memory wire ear hooks are the other reason. You can mold them to your liking and stable the fit so they don’t fall off. In other words, you can wear these through you entire 8 hours shift without problems
ISOtunes PRO Durability:
ISOtunes PRO are definitely made to last quite a while. They are made of durable plastics and are IPX4 rated, so you can wear these in rain or sweat on them without worries. The regular model has magnets in the earbuds so you can wear them as a necklace when you’re not using them to listen to music. The PRO model has ear hooks and is necessarily worn behind the neck while the regular model can be worn however you want. The wires are a little thin, though, but they’re flexible and don’t look like they’ll break easily. Besides they’re Bluetooth so you won’t have to deal with the cables much either way.

Because they have Bluetooth 4.1 + EDR you can connect these headphones to any device with Bluetooth and the connection will be pretty stable and fast, without many distortions. Plus, you can connect 2 devices at the same time. The range is as expected 33ft, depending on the environment. The PRO model also features 10 hours of playtime per full charge, which is 6 hours more than the regular ones offer.
ISOtunes PRO Sound:
Probably because of their intended use, the sound quality is just about average. Rather than focus on providing high-end sound, the main intention of these is noise isolation, an arena in which they excel. The normal user might not notice the difference, but audiophiles will. The sound signature is quite balanced, but the bass still has a nice punch to give your music life. There’s very little sibilance and both mids and highs are well balanced and clean. A point in favor is that they support the aptX codec, so there’s better sound compression.

Their IPX4 rating allows you to buy them if you’re looking for something you can use while you work out, even though they weren’t made with athletes in mind. In general, you can get ISOtunes PRO if you want durability, comfort, and great noise isolation but don’t need audiophile sound quality. Also if you don’t need long battery life either you can get the ISOtunes that cost a little less and come with 3 additional sizes of ear tips, and 2 pairs of ear wings that make the fit more stable.
